Internet!

YAY! Today we got a phone and internet. Of course, I'm still typing this from the virgin megastore, but we are scheduled to get the modem on the 27th and we should be up and running on the 1st. So all my blog updates will arrive on that date. I really do have tonnes to tell you all - I wrote just about everything that happened in the first week and a half (believe me, they are long entries)...so just a week and a bit to go! YAY!

This is getting annoying...

still no internet...ARGH!

I have tonnes of posts building up on my computer but I apparently can't access my memory stick from these goddamn macs at the virgin megastore. :(

I will try to get them up asap.

We're Heeeeere!

Hi all! I have tonnes of stuff to tell y'all but I am not on my computer where all the entries are typed. *( However, we should have cable within the week and I will then be able to post it all. More later,

Farewell Tour 2003

Brief summary:

We saw Mike, Rebecca, Erc, Sam, Isaac, Bob, Rachael, Naomi, Ethan, Graeme, Corinne, Mark, Erica, Kevin, Peyvand, Christine, and (barely) Cameron. (I think that's everyone.) I was hoping for a larger crowd, but I guess we're just not that popular.

Most of us were late to just about everything. The exceptions are Graeme and Corinne, who arrived at bowling on time, and Erica and Mark, who arrived at the Sitar on time. They deserve our awe and reverence.

Bowling was a small group. It was fun, although I choked in the second game.

The Sitar was a considerably larger group, which gathered together over the period of about an hour. The food was good, although it took us far too long to order and get our food, and perhaps even longer to figure out the bill (it can get complicated with 14 people).

I'm not sure how many people were at the Fox & Firkin, because I had trouble keeping track of arrivals and departures by then. The drinks were good, especially since most of ours were free. (Thanks to Peyv and Christine.)

I said bye to a bunch of people, shook some hands, and received some platonic hugs--except for the one from Bob, which was decidedly erotic. All round, a wunnerful evening.

In general, this last month in town has been just super. I've been able to party, geek out, and goof off to my heart's content (apart from the distinct lack of group sex). Many thanks to all those who've made this possible. I'll miss ya.

Packing Issues...

...or, a lesson in avoidance.

OK, so I'm leaving Tuesday. I decided I should pack today, and I thought I was doing so good, until I got to my second (and last) bag...and realized my shoes have to figure in here somewhere. ARGH!

That and the papers upstairs, and the purses. @#%#%!

Party Fun!

Thanks to everyone for coming out! It was great to see everyone one last time. :)

As soon as I get some pictures, I will try to post them somehow. :)

Yucky Colors

OK, OK, I know the colors were aweful. Trying my best to fix it now. ;)

A Horrible No Good Very Bad Sucky Pooey Day

Excuse me while I rant away...

I had to try to find my mom's resume on their computer....ARGH!!!!

There are 6 copies of the same file, she has named every file after herself, with no identifying words at all. They are all like myname1.doc, myname2.doc, etc., etc... It is totally impossible to find anything. Furthermore, there are copies of the actual FOLDERS! ARGH!!!

So, I had to type the goddamn thing out by hand, and then do all the fricking formatting...and we're still not done. There are still two letters to write :(.

To top it all off, some people who I was really hoping to see tonight aren't coming. Sucky. :(:(:(

However, things can't get worse...right? I hope we all get some really good pictures tonight...I should be able to post em here via my SFU space.

Back to becoming a Flash 5 Master, while I await the inevitable call from the one in need. sigh.
